Mark Connolly and Carol Bean

Mark Connolly and Carol Bean are all about food: growing it, catching it, cooking it.  Mark is a commercial waterman working year-round oystering, fishing, crabbing and clamming.  He has worked all over the Chesapeake Bay as well as a few stints in Alaska. 

They live on the Eastern Shore of Maryland where they manage a small farm using sustainable practices.  Carol manages the local farmers market where she sells their eggs, vegetables and flowers.  They operate a small CSA which was the first in Maryland to incorporate local seafood as part of the share.  They hope to expand their CSA and host seasonal farm dinners and cooking classes in the near future.
